How to submit an investment proposal

FIRB Application Portal

You can no longer submit foreign investment proposals or request a variation through the FIRB Application Portal.

Historical submissions and draft proposals will be available to download until 30 June 2025.

The Treasury is responsible for administering the foreign investment framework and undertakes regulatory functions concerning investment proposals for acquisitions of interests in entities, businesses, agricultural and commercial land.

Before you submit an investment proposal, we recommend you seek independent legal advice if you have any doubts about how Australia’s foreign investment framework applies to you or your proposed investment. This information does not constitute legal advice.
