Treasury has launched the full functionality of the new Foreign Investment Portal.
The new portal will make the processing of foreign investment proposals faster and easier.
It is key to reforming foreign investment in Australia to deliver a stronger, more streamlined and more transparent system.
It replaces the FIRB Application Portal.
Key functionality
You can now use the new portal to:
- create an account
- submit a compliance report
- communicate with Treasury in-system
- make submissions
- pay fees and
- apply for waivers.

Access the old portal
The FIRB Application Portal will be available until 30 June 2025. You can access the old portal to download historical submissions or any draft proposals.
You can no longer submit foreign investment proposals through the old portal. You will need to use the Foreign Investment Portal to make a submission.
